Hanging out at The Clubhouse with the Blogals

It’s been a year since I last saw MichelleM, MichelleL and Rowena (I don’t know what to call our small group so I’m settling with Blogals, hehe) and now that I have a social life, I was excited to see them again. We decided to hang out at The Clubhouse at Robinson’s Magnolia. The place was very cozy even though direct sunlight hits it. I love the interiors (pictured at the very bottom; wish I had taken more) and I love that it is kind of difficult to find, which meant that you could sit for hours and have decent conversation.

Tuyo rice. Both Rowena and I ordered this and it was sulit at P185 because it was delicious and filling! Don’t let those meager dried fish strips fool you. The fried rice itself already packs a lot of flavor (mushrooms, capers and olives) even though I said I didn’t want it served spicy. 6 hours later, I found myself daydreaming about it.

Both Michelles ordered Vigan Longganisa Hash, priced at P225. As the menu describes it: “Sauteed Vigan Longganisa and potato hash, 2 eggs (your choice), garlic parsley rice and our morning pineapple salsa.” I originally wanted to order this but the pineapple turned me off. (I only enjoy eating pineapple by itself.)

All four of us shared two cakes. This is strawberry shortcake. I had been eyeing this since I entered the restaurant. It’s pretty filling.

This super moist carrot cake was a huge surprise, though. I never thought the words “super moist” and “carrot cake” could go together but they seem to be in perfect harmony inside my mouth.

Just had to take a photo of the dalandan juice pitcher and the water bottle. They’re so cute! You can order dalandan juice for P50, but you get more bang for your buck if you order the pitcher (P150).

And here’s the obligatory photo of us. From left: MichelleL, Rowena, MichelleM, me. As you can see, the walls are made of bricks and there’s a pretty painting behind us.

I love these girls! When I’m with them, I can go all out and take photos of food and not feel embarrassed because we’re bloggers and darned happy about it.
