Project Vanity’s Clinique Party Take Two

Oh my gosh. This is so so so so late. I’m probably the last blogger to write about this, SORRY!!!! I guess I got too wrapped up in spacing my posts (alternating geek and kikay topics), plus getting carried away with my new job (back in the gaming industry) and upcoming PhD comprehensive exams that I skewed my schedule. Meep. GOMENASAI!!! ごめんなさい!!!

Anyhoo…A couple of weeks ago, we attended Project Vanity‘s second Clinique Party. For those who aren’t familiar with the beauty blogging world, Project Vanity is one of the most popular beauty blogs…and is owned by my editor at the Philippine Online Chronicles. That’s the very stylish Miss Liz Lanuzo.

I had a blast meeting up with other beauty bloggers, some of them quite new. (I don’t know if I’ve ever told anyone, but the fashion and beauty bloggers are actually my favorites in the blogosphere because they’re the most down-to-earth of the lot. If I looked like them, my head would probably be swelling to gargantuan proportions. I know very little of their world and listening to them exchange information is just so fascinating. Second wave feminists are free to cut off my head for this opinion, hehe.) As expected of this party, I was examined for skin problems, given a recommendation, and then a makeover. I love it!

Here are the photos!

The first thing I saw upon arrival was cutie Kari being made up. Hello!!

Then of course, the lovely lovely Clinique skin care lines.

Oh, and that gorgeous girl over there, Ae, is an architect. I was surprised. I thought she was a model.

These were my results after the skin consultation. I’ve always known that I’m combination oily and slightly sensitive.

This was the three-step recommendation given me.

And this package is what I took home. I’ve yet to use them, though. I need to finish up a couple of moisturizers before I could get to these, although I’ve heard/read a lot of rave reviews for the Clinique Moisture Surge.

From left: Liz, me, Kira and Kari. Everyone kept exclaiming that I look and sound like my sister Alex. Perhaps the less chic version, since my sister always looks like an artista.

I was wearing jeans and sneakers as usual. And that horrid Samsonite backpack that my sister always scolds me for. Haha! Except…this time around…

My sneakers had heels. =^.^=

Got these babies from Shubizz at Landmark. Emergency shopping because my sandals — just before I got to the Snickers event — gave out the day before. I limped, with one bare foot, into the mall and ended up late at that previous event.

Anyhoo…

Other ladies being made-up. That’s Angeli over there.

 Me after my make-over. =^.^=

And the food, by Bizu. They’re yummy. I love Bizu, especially their macarons!

That was one very nice, but very private little gathering. Thanks for the opportunity, Liz! =^.^=

Hahahaha! Parang Mariah Carey lang. It's the only pose that could keep me from blocking everyone out with my chubby cheeks. Plus, when I do that, my hair covers the “horrid, unfashionable” backpack that I insist on carrying around. LOL.
