Shu Uemura Workshop by Xeng Zulueta

The last workshop I’ve been to was around last year, with Jiggs Mayuga of L’Oreal representing Good Housekeeping. It was an eye-opener. I learned a lot of stuff about my face shape and about other people’s colors.

This time around, I got the text from EJ of Shu Uemura, telling me of the September 29-30 workshop. He said that Xeng Zulueta, the chief make-up artist of Shu Uemura, would be handling it.  Ms. Xeng taught a lot of really useful stuff about bases and I like her mantra: “Less is more.”  I really hate the idea of putting too much gook on my face because I don’t like feeling grease on my skin.  I noticed that she and my idol Barbi Chan are not fond of concealers, either, but she said that there are people who need it. Xeng Zulueta is so tan and purty!

Actually, the icing on my cake is a 20% discount from my favorite brand. Hehe. I managed to spend only 5+K for stuff that would’ve been worth 7+K otherwise. In fact, this time around Shu Uemura seemed cheaper than Clarins and Origins (which are my brand for skin care).
