Geekery is going to send me to the poor house…

My laptop got damaged when the strap of my then el cheapo bag broke. Since then I vowed never to buy anything less than a Samsonite…a vow I broke when I bought another regular bag from Landmark. Two days later, the zipper conked out.

You know how it is to walk on the non-existent sidewalk that leads to the new SDA building. You don’t know if you’re going to get robbed any minute now. (There was even a time when I had to push a sidecar off the road because it was blocking the way.)  So I went and bought myself a Samsonite bag yet again…except, I realized that it doesn’t quite suit what I usually wear.

Fifteen minutes ago, Nicco texted me to tell me he wanted the same exact bag (trust a true-blooded geek to want a geeky-looking thing).  I told him not to get a new one, that I’ll just give him mine provided he replaces it with something that a girl can be seen carrying.  (I’ve been associated with testosterone my entire life that I think it’s time people realized I’m actually female underneath all that muscle.)

As I rummaged through the Samsonite website (ibabagsak ko sa eCommerce tong gumawa ng jsp-based site na ito dahil hindi naglo-load ng tama ang pages), I spotted these little beauties.

I swear the leather one is the nicest, but damn!  It costs about $250!  And you can put your laptop in there, too!!!

Speaking of fashionable geek bags, every time I drop by Lia’s Gadgenista site, my credit card seems to want to scream.  There’s this nifty laptop sleeve and those colorful Macbook skins! All those gorgeous shiny geeky stuff to drool over. Huhuhuhuhu!  (Thank gawd, I just remembered that Nicco gave me Rustan’s gift certificates…which I just remembered this morning.  I’ve been maxing out my plastic all this time, forgetting that I had gift certs since Christmas!)

Well, I have money. It’s just that there are too many things to see. Which is why I’m locking my credit card here at my parents’ house before I go back to my condo. Hahahahaha!

Besides, it’s better to invest in a good bag than have the contents of a cheap bag stolen on my way to school. (all my credit cards, atms, license and other important documents are in there!)
