Lovely tea time at TWG in Greenbelt

Last Wednesday, I met up with a former student, the beautiful Kat Adagio. Hm. How to describe why this girl is special… See, she was one of those students who have had a glimpse of the real world before they were ready and it made her a very strong person. And um…it was actually my first time to stand as proxy godmother during her wedding three years ago. OMG! (*Cue music: I was tooooo young!*)

When she messaged me about catching up, I suggested that we have tea at TWG in Greenbelt. I had been eyeing this place since I saw it being built a few months ago. I told myself that I would definitely drop by once it opened but because of my busy schedule then, I couldn’t find the time. So when she PM’d me, I immediately grabbed the opportunity to try TWG.

We ordered red chocolate tea, which was surprisingly inexpensive at P195 a pot.

Compared to TWG’s Silvermoon tea that my office mates introduced me to, this pales in comparison. But then if you think about the price difference, red chocolate tea is better tasting than your average brew. Careful, though, Kat felt that it was kind of filling.

Must try: Some of the best macarons I have ever tasted! The dark ones are caramel-based treats called Napoleon Macaron. The green ones are matcha and the pink one is rose. These are P55 each.

I love the entire look and feel of the place BUT I think it would be perfect if we had gotten a corner table. We happened to be sandwiched between other diners and that kind of ruined the sense of privacy that we were aiming for. In the end, we finished our treats and moved to Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf for better conversation quality instead.

And here’s an Instagram photo of Kat for posterity’s sake. 😀

It was a lovely day. I’m glad to know that she’s doing well and that she’s happy being a trainer for communication skills. She’s one of the best speakers I’ve ever come across so I know that she’s a right fit for her current job.

Naku if you ever drop by, do try the Silvermoon tea. The red chocolate tea is ok din pero nakakabusog talaga for some reason haha!
