To vote or not to vote…?
On my way to my parents’ house, I had to deal with numerous political tv ads that made me either cringe or laugh at the audacity. (Has anyone here seen how Richard Gomez answered the question about the difference between annulment and divorce?ย “Pareho lang yan, iba lang ang spelling.” OMGWTFBBQ!ย Our IQs have sunken this low!) Are these my choices? It didn’t help that I’d been really obsessed with Singapore’s beautiful OCness and when I look at my own country, whose natural resources are inherently a million times better, I just can’t help but be depressed.
To top it off, I don’t really like staying here at my parents’ place in BF. I’m only here till I graduate on the 12th and till I’m done voting on the 14th. Not voting will mean I can go back to my condo immediately after I graduate. But not voting may also mean that some turd will use my name to vote for hooligans, who will throw this country into an even deeper state of disrepair.
Geh.
Quick Note About Multi-Tasking
If Good Housekeeping is to be believed, I am not a multi-tasker. It defines multi-tasking as a stressful activity of juggling so many tasks–one unfinished business after another–that actually slows you down instead of making you an efficient person. Hm. Well, I do have a lot of stuff on my plate because I seriously get bored easily, but I don’t go to the next task while one is unfinished. I’m like a computer queueing system. You can’t break my concentration till I’m done, and only then will I move to the next step. I realize that I can stuff a mountain-load of activities in one day without multi-tasking them. When I do multi-task, I noticed that my brain turns to soup (mixing subject contents while teaching is one such prime example, and spraying Lysol/Pledge on a flying Papa Roach is another). This is why, to my brother’s shock, both my Macbook and Starbucks planners are full to the brim.

I have got to sit down and apply myself to customizing my own multiply site…
That said, VOTE! but don’t vote for the idiots like mr “Pikon” Gomez. Lastly, good housekeeping is wrong about multitasking. What they defined is overloading a.k.a. biting off more than one can chew. Multitasking is more like hitting two birds with 1 stone. Think of it as a pentium 4 vs an intel core 2 duo. The duo can do things faster because, while its processors may only be at around 2ghz each, its still faster because either processors can work together or independently on different tasks. WARNING! below is a geeky question meant only for the eyes of the geek in you. Are you a pentium 4 or a core 2 duo? ps. I have design premium cs3, want it? It has the new photoshop, illustrator, adobe acrobat, dreamweaver, flash, and indesign. |

oooh. CS3! okies, when i get back. i just installed CS2 two weeks ago. XD (i think i’m a core 2 duo because my test results show that i use my left and right brain equally and that i can use them at the same time…just not two left-brain activities or two-right brain activities at the same time) |

That’s why I’m not registered ๐ Saves me the hassle of worrying about someone using my name WHEN i won’t vote.
And unless the Philippines produces really impressive politicians worth my time, then that’s the only time I’m going to register in vote… And that’ll be like.. in a million years? Hahahaha ๐ |

The real solution for these jerk-offs running for office is to overhaul the election system. Getting into office shouldn’t be a popularity contest, it should be settled with gladiatorial combat(no guns allowed) where all the losers are put to the sword.
It solves so many things: Furthermore, this method also has its entertainment values. Imagine voting day, everyone is let off work to watch the combat. Imagine the ticket sales, the ratings, advertising… medical… and so on. Marial arts dojos will be raking in the money. Politics schmolitics. |
