Visita Iglesia 2011 – Tagaytay
Getting out of the Highlands was another matter entirely, of course. It took me and my siblings two hours to get back to the farm, which is usually just a 10-minute drive. Impatient, my Mom walked all the way to the market, where my Dad picked her up.
Anyway, there are two chapels at Tagaytay Highlands.

This was the original Tagaytay Highlands chapel. It’s non-sectarian supposedly…
But it does have a rather large crucifix in the middle, a symbol that has deep meaning to Catholics.

Stations of the Cross tablets are spread out. You can meditate while inhaling the wonderful scent of leaves and trees.
From afar, you can see the bridge that connects The Gardens to the Highlands China Palace.

It’s pretty spacious inside. Despite the difference in exteriors, this somehow reminds me of Caleruega.

The traffic slowly began moving when we neared this church, which was halfway between Highlands and our farm. It’s called Ina ng Laging Saklolo (Mother of Perpetual Help). Sorry for the blurred shot; we were moving.
It was actually pretty warm in the Highlands, especially in the Midlands area. You’d have to be really far up, to enjoy the cool Tagaytay breeze, which I have not done in years.

The highlands is really one of the best clubs i've been to. Too bad we're not members :)))

April 23, 2011 at 2:28 pmGrabe ang traffic. As in. We wanted to go to Caleruega, Pink Sisters, Don Bosco, Lourdes…wala. You cannot move from the circle. So buong Friday I slept at my parents' farm. Hahahaha!

April 28, 2011 at 4:48 amYeah, I actually want to go back, especially with this weather (it's soo hooooot!). Tagaytay was a bit warm (only in the Midlands area) but not this bad.

April 5, 2012 at 4:55 amhi! my fiancee and i are getting married this december 2012 at madre de dios chapel. I'm catholic and he's methodist and I wish sana to have another wedding after the ceremony at that small chapel…. i'd like to know if it's open for weddings? 🙂 thanks!

April 6, 2012 at 12:43 amOh, I think it is, as long as it's not a Catholic ceremony. That was the case the last time I checked in 2003. I have no idea if it's still the case now.
