I am a caramel cake addict. Well…actually, until yesterday, I’ve only tasted one kind of caramel cake and that’s Becky’s. I swear, I can finish an entire box in one sitting. That’s how much I love it.

I have read so many reviews regarding Estrel’s Caramel Cake but since it’s so far away, I had never gotten the chance to try it. Cris told me I was missing half my life. So yesterday, she decided to drop by that bake shop to get me two pieces.

She considers it my reward for sitting as panelist for her Human-Computer Interaction class defense. (Actually, the fact that her students performed quite well is already a reward enough in itself. No normal panelist would want to sit through garbage.) Anyhoo…

I could call this the melt-in-your-mouth caramel cake. I couldn’t exactly compare it with Becky’s even though it’s the same kind of kekki. That would be like…comparing Ponkan to Tangor oranges. Estrel’s is the very soft kind of sponge cake, coated with yummy caramel and topped with bits of butter swirls. Estrel’s would be Ponkan.

Don’t ask how fast I finished it all. The answer is just too embarrassing.
