Drev’s Fun Friday Night with Yellow Cab
Anyway, this invitation was especially exciting because…I dunno, my mouth watered at the sight of those vegetables on top of a scrumptious-looking Yellow Cab pizza. Which made not going a thousand times harder for me.
In the end, I sent my company’s PR person, Drev, in my stead. (This is an extra-curricular activity, not an official one, haha!)
In any case, it was actually Yellow Cab’s 10th year anniversary and they’ve actually talked about their partnership with Fonterra Food Services, who has been handling Anchor’s dairy products for quite some time now.
One of the things I admire about Yellow Cab is how it’s all-Filipino and has surprisingly stood the test of time. I do not know anyone who does not like Yellow Cab. Well, ok, I actually know a few people that said they don’t like it but they wouldn’t resist a slice when offered anyway. LOL.
One of the things I probably regret is the fact that I have not met these group of bloggers, who happen to be foodies. (I do not belong to the food bloggers’ circles, sadly.) I probably know their blogs, but I’ve never met them in person. Drev seemed to have had so much fun time socializing with them. I just know I’d also enjoy spending time with them. They look like such a fun bunch.
The discussion was about Yellow Cab and its long history with Fonterra, who supplies their dairy needs. Now that I think about it, they do need a lot of dairy products for the dishes they offer.
There were actually so many food shots, but the green on top of this pizza just drew me.
Here, Drev is shown customizing his pizza.
And turning it into a mini burrito. Later, they were led into the kitchen to watch a demo of how Yellow Cab pies are made.
Of course, they start with the dough. Yellow Cab was proud to announce that they only use the freshest ingredients.
And off they went going about their magic. Would you believe the entire process only took less than ten minutes?
Pie doughs!
Aaand I’m getting extra hungry right now, just looking at these photos.
Bloggers got to participate. Drev said that they were asked to make their own pizzas.
Voila!!
The highlighted finished product is one of the best on Yellow Cab’s menu: New York style pizza, sliced into squares.
Thanks so much for this invitation. I just wish I had been there. Drev did say he’s now interested in blogging. Perhaps we could go together on the next one!
(And yeah, except for Sarimanok.PH and Otakufridge.com, where I have other writers, I realized that I shouldn’t send reps for this blog because it’s my journal. Haha! Unless Drev writes as a guest blogger here, and he did promise he will next time.)
