Last year, I was on caffeine overdrive.  It took me 7 days to get my Starbucks planner, but I was so hyper I wonder if my classes were able to keep up with me.

This year, it took me 10 days.  I was on caffeine overdrive for three days and it was noticeable because one of Ms. Haya’s students (I was substituting for her last Tuesday) told me that I was dancing and using myself as a mouse pointer.  Two days later, I treated my colleagues to coffee and it was only when Barbs told the barista to make hers decaf that I realized that I didn’t have to suffer sleepless nights for that planner.  Believe me, my eyes were wide as saucers for three days and I was visibly exhausted!

I’ve been to Starbucks Vito Cruz…and whenever that’s full, I’d be in Harbor Square. Then Glorietta 4. Then I discovered another Starbucks in Glorietta (courtesy of Elena’s friend), wherein I got a “free drink” receipt (which I haven’t claimed yet). I redeemed my planner in Starbucks BF International. 11 of those stickers came from paneling for Leosantos31’s and Daniel’s portfolio classes.

Anyhoo, I like this 2008 planner better than last year’s.  2007 planner was bulky (I literally felt like I was carrying the world on my shoulders) and had annoying springs that kept getting detached. This one’s thin, encased in authentic-looking leather and has a sturdy metal spring binder that you can unclasp if you need to.  The only thing I don’t like about it is the pencil…I do prefer a ballpoint pen.

Can’t use it yet…December is the first month on it.
