I was planning to do my COMM301 mid term paper tonight, but as I sit in front of Mi-Chan, I realize that Teacher Ganda (COMM312) kicked my brain out of orbit again. I was actually fighting the urge to stay in the MRT till I hit Ayala Station so I could…you can guess what.

First she started with the statement: “Today we begin the math part.”

Everyone took sharp intakes of breaths and I said, “Okay lang kung Geometry.” (Or Trigo or Physics.)

She laughed. “Walang Geometry dito eh. Stat.”

(I don’t know why Statistics, my most hated math subject of all, followed me from my undergrad to my second degree to my master’s and it’s still hounding me in my PhD.)

Then she followed up with this:

…I was too far gone. My consciousness retreated somewhere else, while my hand kept jotting down random notes.  I had to keep scribbling so I wouldn’t fall into the trap of daydreaming (which I now regularly do during class)…or imagining that I’m in another college. I actually wrote on my notes that maybe I should just shift to PhD Math. And if I do, can I please not deal with Statistics? Please?

Jane’s nose wasn’t bleeding. She said that she was too busy planning our other mid terms in her head that she had stopped listening. Feh.

So can you understand why it was a struggle for me to get off at Guadalupe and not let the MRT take me to Ayala? It’s still useless for me to go home this early anyway. As you can see, I’m blogging instead of working on my COMM301 paper.
