BRTC Blemish Recover Balm
I actually did a mini-review of BRTC Blemish Recover Balm back in 2010 because it happens to be my favorite BRTC product. I remember in 2009 (when I first used it), I’d still be afflicted with the occasional breakout (around twice a month) and this was what I’d use. The description in the photo says: “Blemish Care System. Sebum Controlling & Soothing Recover Balm for Oily and Irritated Skin while Evening Out Skin Texture.”
Here’s a photo of me and two of my former students in 2009.
I remember that my make-up back then was already at melting point so I’m not sure if I look haggard here or not.
For full-blown review purposes, I documented my August 2013 usage on a particularly haggard day.
You can actually see how tired I was (from lack of sleep) in the photo above. Again, I used flash for this so that you can see the difference between my skin with the product and without the product. Like many BB creams, it gives you that gray cast upon application.
Oh and there’s something about this BB cream that smells herbal or medicinal. Kind of minty. I don’t usually notice scents in creams, but this aroma is difficult to not notice.
Above is a photo of me after application and after I’ve groomed my eyebrows. Unlike my 2010 photo, I did not wear make-up here because I’ve become quite lazy when it comes to make-up in recent years.
Here’s a photo of me while doing my rounds and viewing a friend’s exhibit:
And then another obligatory photo 8 hours later, after the product finally blended into my skin.
I like the brightening effect this has. In fact, if it weren’t for my red eyes, I don’t seem too tired here. I was actually itching to hit the bed but just had to do this obligatory shot.
Anyway, looks like BRTC Blemish Recover Balm continues to be my favorite BRTC cream… Actually, now that I think about it, it also happens to be my favorite BB cream among all that I’ve tried.
This BB cream is available at The Beauty and Cosmetic Shop.
