Revel Bars by Cris
I blogged about our Christmas baking session of fun a few posts ago and while we had a grand time with muffins, cookies and carrot cake, we totally ran out of energy for the rest of the goodies. So Cris and I made up for it last Friday.
Here’s the finished product:
Before it started looking like that, it had to look like this:
Layered oat mixture and semi-sweet chocolate, then topped with the oat mixture bits. Slice this into small pieces because one bite packs a lot of flavor.
And I tried shaping these delightfully chewy chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies, but they didn’t turn out to be as pretty as the ones that Cris shapes.
Then again…who cares about their shape when they just taste so good, yeah?
