DGMEDIA85 Final Defense

Digital Interactive Arts: Game Design and Web

I must say that this is the most hardworking class I have ever handled. NO DISAPPROVED PROPOSALS. And Elvert, whose standards I highly respect and uphold, gave away numerous 100s.

Here are a few quotes from the panelists.

Sir Elvert: This is definitely your best DGMEDIA class, Bea.
Ms. Luna: Ang galing. Ang lalalim ng concepts, talagang pinag-aralan.
Sir Jerome: Thank you sa invitation. In fairness, magagaling mga kids mo. Ok ok love ko mag-panel sa class mo. Grabe alam mo yun kung ganun ang environment ang brain cells ay nagchu-churn ng major major. 😀 (via text message)

These students knew that my DGMEDIA class will be one of the three most difficult sections. I was determined to do it differently this time (didn’t follow previous orders of making DGMEDIA easy; conceptualization of this magnitude is never easy). I gave them the go-signal to transfer to another class if they think my class is too difficult. They stayed put and persevered.

DGMEDIA85 kids say the effort was all worth it because in the end, they would be able to bring those game design documents with them as part of their extensive portfolio.

Looking forward to seeing you in Ms. Luna’s MAPROD! Our real work has just begun.

hahaha! elena was asking me when the DGMEDIA85 students will graduate. she wants to hire na. unfortunately, they're only in 3rd year. she has to wait 1 year before she can recruit them.

she also asked me what they're good at, conceptualization or technical skills. i told her i don't breed drones. they have to be good at both. yabang ko hahahahahaha!

“ay, ensaymada? ayaw ko ng ensaymada. it's fattening. bea, tigilan mo na yang kasusubo mo. kanina ka pa nguya ng nguya.”

actually, you were looking at the game design document and explaining that the answer to robert's question was there. and then to the student that robert was merely testing his knowledge of his project.

wala kang inaway. 😀 sobrang grateful ang students ko for your presence and for the grades you gave. sinasabi nila sakin.

Awe. Why will I get mad at very good students who came up with fantastic proposals? We reward them for a job well done. =)
