Hidden Objects Game: Dream Inn

We just released our newest Hidden Object game, Dream Inn, a few days ago. While waiting for the Mac version, I thought I should blog about it. I may not be the producer — Dino Subijano is — but I’m so proud of this game.

I know I’ve only been exposed to casual gaming when I became a producer for Anino Games, but of all the Hidden Object games I’ve played (both by the company and by the competitors) on my first month, this is one of my favorites.

Dream Inn’s premise is that you  acquired this dilapidated inn that you would beautify as you progress throughout the game. There are three things to do while at the inn:

  1. Look for hidden objects to clean up the rooms.
  2. Place the objects in their proper rooms (since most of them are in rooms that they’re not supposed to be in).
  3. Do errands for people that want to rent the rooms.

In all three instances, your goal is to make a lot of money so that you can remodel the inn.

The screenshot above depicts a quest, wherein your would-be guest asks you to collect miniature ships in bottles.

This screenshot shows me placing an object into a room. Here, I’m returning a Russian doll to its former location.

What I love best about this game is that finding hidden objects isn’t the only thing you do and earning money for your inn and garden doesn’t feel like such a level grind. The prospects of unlocking rooms and customizing your garden have never been so exciting.

You also have a number of tools at your disposal like poppers, magnets and a cat that would reveal where some of the objects are. The hints system…well, I actually save my hints because unused ones count towards your earnings.

Oh and…Emma Gray (this woman pictured) and her cat Pris are animated.

Windows version can be downloaded here.
I’ll edit this post when the Mac version arrives.

Lastly, here are the credits. Congratulations, teams!

BTW, does Anino have other games at Big Fish? I'm downloading Dream Inn now.
