Bento!!!
I got the idea of seaweed wrapped onigiri from my friend Kaoko. I topped that with cheese bunnies and I used hotdog flowers for dividers. Well…actually, I intended for those hotdogs to look like octupi, but I think the kind I bought were too small for shaping. Hence, they ended up looking like flowers.
I stacked this together with my recreated bento #1 so yeah. It also got stolen.
I’m into this new food craze. Call it my stress reliever. Initially, my sister wanted to buy a punching bag in lieu of the pets that died on us. But I think this is a much more satisfying new hobby. Anyhoo, I’m no expert and I’m obviously new at bento-making…but as you can see, I’m knocking myself out.
Anyhoo…

she's one heckuva bento designer. she caught my attention in the bento community (which i'm too shy to join just yet) because of her heart and star-shaped eggs. grabe!

July 2, 2006 at 4:42 pmyou know seriously i thought bento was just sticking food into those cool laquered boxes with compartments… should have thought deeper and figured that like every other japanese thing it's amazingly deep…
hell, they can't even wrap gifts w/o making a whole art out of it… japs rock… unlike pakistanis
