Women’s Health Philippines, December 2010 Issue
Dear Women’s Health,
I absolutely adore your articles on beauty and sports, but please ditch the “men like this and that” write-ups. If we were desperate for male attention, we’d be buying Cosmo.
Much love,
Skysenshi
P.S.
Putting Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan on the cover is a stroke of genius. I hardly can believe that this is how she looks like now. She has always been pretty, but now she’s smokin’ hot. I know she doesn’t remember that I was once her classmate in one of her subjects at UP Manila and I remember being shocked that she had such creamy complexion in real life. (She looked different on TV.) She was waaaaay older than the rest of us — I was a freshman then — but now she looks like she could be my age. Or even younger!
P.P.S.
It’s nice to see a smart, healthy woman of substance represent this magazine. Thank you! =^.^=

December 18, 2010 at 12:11 pmi saw maricel at an event a month ago and she looks really stunning. she was wearing something really casual but looked way hotter than, umm, the brand endorser. hehe!
and, i agree about all these “how to attract/please men” articles. i thought the feminist revolution (and hence, the modern woman) was also about just being herself and putting herself first?

December 19, 2010 at 10:59 amTrue on both counts!!!
The reason why I don't buy Cosmo is because of all those men-centered articles. I turned to Preview and Women's Health when Marie Claire Philippines disappeared so when I see articles like those…medyo, ehe. I wouldn't mind seeing them on Good Housekeeping, I guess, because it's all about family and stuff (husband and kids).
As for Maricel…lemme just copy-paste the comments of my Facebook friends…
