Human Nature Love Minerals Blush

Because I was imbyerna about something academic-related this morning, I figured I should channel the kikay for today instead. I had awaited the launch of Human Nature‘s mineral make-up line for months and when they were finally available on the website, I immediately ordered. Been using it for a few months now and I can say I’m very happy with it.

I ordered Petal Bloom (light to mid tint). I’ve always been used to bronzers but sometimes they can be too strong. I wanted something that I could use to contour my cheeks without looking too made up.

I just love love love the packaging. We have Lizz Buenaventura to thank for these beauties.

What I adore about this product best is that unlike most mineral make-up, which consist mostly of loose powder, this is pressed. I know there are pros and cons to using pressed powders (one of them being the additional chemical process involved), but there are two things that I consider now.

  1. I am a messy messy person. Although I try to generally keep things in order, I always end up spilling things. Loose powders are bad for people like me.
  2. I am afraid of inhaling powder particles and harming my lungs in the process.

Anyway, here’s a photo that Michelle (MrsM) took while I was scratching my chin. (Haha!) This was taken at Greens Vegetarian Restaurant.

I love how sheer and lightweight it is. Its key ingredients are vitamin E and good ol’ rice powder. I normally have bad reactions to topical vitamin E, but somehow, this still suits me. And at PhP225, Love Minerals Blush is definitely a steal!

Yup! And I super enjoy using it pa. I mean, I love organic stuff but I was getting frustrated with mineral make-up because I keep spilling them.

I'm so happy you liked this! 😀 You'll be glad to know that there weren't any chemicals that went into pressing our mineral makeup– just natural binders and a really strong press, haha. I think that pressed powders that use chemicals are more for preserving rather than binding. Our R&D was able to find natural binders as substitutes for the chemical ones. I guess the only downside is that our makeup has an expiration date… but I go through mine really quickly so I never even come close the expiry date (1 foundation lasts me 2-3 months)!

Wow, that's really useful information, Lizz! What's the expiration date, btw? I didn't check. Haha!

i got this from lizz a few months ago. it really does give a dewy look; i have very dry skin but it was still dewy on me! i only wish that the container was thinner; the plastic packaging actually has a fat bottom. masikip na masyado yung kikay kit ko eh. :p

I was thinking of ordering this blush. Either in Petal Bloom or Tropical Rose. I don't know how it would be like in person. Do you have medium complexion too?  How much of the product do you have to apply for you to see a blush?

    Thanks!
