Wabi-Sabi Noodle House and Vegetarian Grocery
I mentioned, in passing, a vegetarian noodle house in my post about Brown Bag Market (at the Collective). Well, we eventually found it. I figured the place deserves its own post in this blog, so here it is.
Wabi-Sabi is a quaint little restaurant near the rightmost corner of The Collective. It sits behind Outerspace Gallery.
This is where people usually place their order. That’s Aliza ordering Shoyu Ramen.
The place is quite small, but I love the interiors. On that wall are photos of happy customers enjoying their ramen.
The menu. Can you imagine having Shoyu Ramen and Viet Pho for only PhP95? I also got their lemon grass iced tea (PhP40), which was very refreshing.
This is Aliza’s Shoyu Ramen. My sister and I were already full from Good Spirits restaurant when we found Wabi-Sabi so we just shared Aliza’s huge bowl.
Those noodles are soft and chewy, I swear!
Bundaberg!! I missed this drink so much. I used to chug down bottles of these naturally brewed refreshments, especially since they go so well with Kettle potato chips. I love both their Sarsaparilla and Ginger Ale variants. Wabi-Sabi sells these for PhP60 each. Not bad!
“Asado” steamed bun (PhP25). It doesn’t really have pork, seeing as this is a vegetarian restaurant. It has mushrooms and veggie meat.
Being in Wabi-Sabi reminds me why I like hanging out in artsy-fartsy areas. Not only is it cozy, it also has that must-revisit factor. Most restaurants in places like The Collective and Cubao X have this kind of feel. (I actually went back the next day. Hehe.)

This looks promising because it is inexpensive and vegetarian. But it's too far away from me … waaaaaaah!

December 3, 2010 at 8:03 amThe name Wabi-Sabi reminds me of wasabi which I fail to like. I can't understand it at all, I don't know why I can eat the hot & fiery chili padi but can't stomach even a drop of wasabi.
Lucky you – I can't eat just veggie, I need meat (fish, chicken, etc).

Haha, ironically, wasabi is the only spicy thing I eat. That and kimchi. 😀
